A little about me
For Stanford School of Engineering

I'm Jessica, a designer, artist, and storyteller at heart. Creative work is central to everything I do, whether that’s shaping digital experiences, crafting visual narratives, or building community through audience-first campaigns. My background spans across design and branding to support mission-driven organizations and create a cohesive story to bridge their physical and online presences.

I’ve developed and executed cohesive visual systems that span digital, social, and physical touchpoints, ensuring brand consistency while adapting designs to specific goals and audiences. I bring a strong learning mindset and a comfort with complexity, developed through academic training at Carnegie Mellon and hands-on experience working across design, marketing, and strategy.  My background in user research and data synthesis allows me to design visually compelling assets that are grounded in audience insights. I’ve worked closely with founders in both a design and HCI capacity, positioning my understanding of business, tech, and design to create the right thing to move strategic objectives forward. Growing up in the Bay Area, I’m keenly aware of Stanford’s mission and impact of the brand, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my skills in digital strategy, content development, collaboration, and analysis to help Stanford expand its reach.

Recently, I’ve been working on branding at Nikoniko Gifts, a local gift shop in SF. I worked on aligning its physical space with its digital one by working on its social media look...

...designing and painting a mural for the store to reflect Nikoniko’s value of supporting and empowering the AAPI community...

...and designing marketing materials for events, including a fundraiser for a community organization I organized, performed, and created an art piece for:

I also created packaging labels for tea tins for Eight Treasures, boosting sales by 80%. The design showcases the brand’s Taiwanese roots and custom typography reflects ingredients in each tea.

I created an app design for a conceptual café based on the nostalgia of childhood favorites...

...worked with a non-profit to redefine their growth strategies and provide a jumping off point for their new website and design system...

...created email templates and marketing campaigns for Retention Science's clients, adapting across different design styles and determining information hierarchies...

...and have designed for various print media.

My love for appealing visuals extends into my side projects and interests, such as zine-making...

...illustrating socially-conscious children’s books...

...and making fiber art home decor.

Great to meet you, and looking forward to chatting soon! 👋
