is an early stage start-up founded at UCLA in it's second year of operation. the company sells graduation caps and gowns at a lower price to students. i worked with the student start-up GradStreet to completely redesign their brand and look for their second year launch.

the problem
GradStreet's main concern was how they could better appeal to students. i decided to work with their "for students, by students" brand and use bright colors and hand-drawn illustrations to associate a positive and warm experience with GradStreet. the website needed to be redesigned to be easier to navigate and communicate exactly what people needed.
starting the process
for the UI, i focused the main information about the product (choosing your school, product information) into one product page to have a simpler flow, as students would mainly be on the site to order a graduation package. i wanted to keep the website intuitive and hassle-free, just as the process of getting the packages would be.
